What New Movies Start Friday, December 12th?
Lots of movies having limited openings this week, there are like 10 and three new movies opening wide.

Movie: The Day the Earth Stood Still (PG-13)

Genre: Sci Fi Drama
Synopsis: This is a remake of the 1951 film of the same name about an alien and a robot that come to earth and warn us of the dangers of nuclear war.
First Thoughts: I don’t believe this remake follows the same story of the original, so I am not sure what the alien and the robot have come to earth for, but since they are going to wipe us out, they must becoming to warn us that we are ruining the earth or something. Guess I’ll find out tomorrow when I go see it. It is also available in The IMAX Experience.
Movie: Delgo (PG)
Starring: Freddie Prinze, Jr., Jennifer Love Hewitt, Anne Bancroft, Chris Kattan & Val Kilmer
Genre: Animated Children’s Fantasy
Synopsis: Two races that don’t get along become even more hostile towards each other when a young man from one befriends a young woman from the other, which sets the stage for a banished ruler to try and retake the thrown and rule over both.
First Thoughts: Could not care less.

The story takes place over a week and starts with the mother of the clan announcing she wants a divorce from their father.
First Thoughts: They call this a drama, but it looked funnier than Four Christmases in the ads, so who knows. Will probably see it at some point, but not tomorrow.

Synopsis: Spoof of teen sex comedies.
First Thoughts: This sounds extremely bad, but at least it only runs 75 minutes, so it’ll be over quickly. Also, all the movie sites say this opens on Friday, but none of them have any show times for it as yet.
Movie: Nobel Son (R)
