Never heard of this movie before last night…not a huge Kevin Bacon fan…but thumbs up to this movie. I thought he did a great job in this role…I would definitely recommend it!

I saw this movie on TV tonight (2/1/10) and was glued from the beginning to the end. The movie was heart wrenching in the way it portrays such a happy loving family and then seeing the family destroyed and struggling to come to grips with their son’s murder. And then, of course, to watch Kevin Bacon’s transformation from a well to do corporate VP to a out for revenge murderer just kept me glued every second. I really just started screaming “kill him” every time Kevin Bacon was stalking one of the gang members. He is a fantastic actor and really has the ability to involve his audience into the plot. This is a movie, one of the very few, that I highly recommend for everyone to rent. Better than any of the Death Wish movies.

Definitely one of the bottom five movies I’ve ever seen, up there with Postal, Meet the Spartans, Freddy Got Fingered and Disaster Movie.

Elise, I’m glad you liked it. I thought it was worth watching as well, just not worth shelling out the seven to 10 dollars at a theater back when it came out. Also, I wouldn’t call Alba “the main character” in the movie and I did the review from a good and bad point of view, which means Alba didn’t get a mention, cause she wasn’t either of those in this role.

The movie is GREAT!! The only thimg right in the review is the ending could have been longer, but the performances were great, especially from Jessica Alba (who didnt even get a mention- you write a review and leave out the main charactor???), the movie is worth watching!

I loved, loved, loved this movie. Where has it been all my life.
In college, many, many years ago, I was irritated that Whoopee Goldberg did some movie about a loveable maid who has the usual brand of “quiet dignity” that white folks like to see in their cinematic black domestics. I explained this to my white friends, who were a bit upset. “That’s the way it was.” They explained to me. That’s all black people did? In research for my own work, I realized that nothing could be further from the truth. I have found the black intellectuals devoted themselves to the black struggle for equality and justice well into slavery times (see New Orleans). This movie reminds me not only that blacks were intellectuals, but the nature of our intellectualism, which has its own dynamism and intricacy. Thank you, Mr. Washington. Bravo.

This was a really good movie action packed, fast, cool and Kevin Bacon was in it i thought he was tough didnt want to die it was crazy good id watch it a few more times. 8^]

My wife and I watched this movie just recently. I didn’t have much of an idea of what the movie was about, apparently either having missed the hype when the movie was first released, or just forgotten about it since. The DVD jacket sounded interesting, and the cast was impressive, so we rented it. What a lucky move … it turned out to be one of the best movies I’ve seen in the past several years. Not too many movies make you sit and reflect after watching them, but this was one (A Few Good Men also comes to mind). Highly recommended!

very intriging and engaging but then that’s cage all over bought it watched it twice biel was astoundingly good intelligent facial and body responces cemented my future dvd purchases its just a great pity that biel is following most actors into the sexual abyss, so she’s made into the top 10 sexiest woman but that means nil to the next generation her acting ability will be replaced with sex in bed scenes which any emty headed second rate can do professionalism jessica please! do your talent justice and build on it !

I think the dreams that Linda was dreaming were preparing her for her husband’s death. Toward the end, Linda found out that her husband was about to have an affair, but he told Linda that he couldn’t go through with it,because he loved her and the girls too much. This gave Linda peace in her heart and made it easier for her to move forward. In the last scene, she appears to be pregnant with his child. The fact that the little girl came in saying that the moving truck was there, seemed to definitely confirm that Linda, her girls, and the new life on his or her way were moving forward with their lifes. Linda seemed happy and at peace at the end.
