There are nine new movies out Friday. Two open nationwide and the other seven open on a limited basis.
Nationwide – New Movies Out Friday, March 30th:
Movie: Mirror Mirror (PG)
Starring: Julia Roberts, Lily Collins, Armie Hammer, Nathan Lane, Jordan Prentice & Mark Povinelli
Genre: Fantasy
Synopsis: Snow White is a princess in exile. The evil Queen rules her captured kingdom. Seven dwarfs team up with Snow to help her fight to reclaim her place and win her Prince.
First Thoughts: This actually looks like kind of a fun retelling of the classic story.
Movie: Wrath of the Titans (PG-13)
Starring: Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes, Edgar Ramirez, Toby Kebbell, Rosamund Pike, Bill Nighy & Danny Huston
Genre: Action Adventure Drama
Synopsis: Sequel to Clash of the Titans.
First Thoughts: Never seen the first one, so won’t be seeing this one anytime soon.
Limited – New Movies Out Friday, March 30th:
- Bully – Documentary that follows five kids and their families over a school year.
- Dark Tide – Suspense thriller starring Halle Berry about a shark expert who lost a fellow diver to a shark attack and her trying to get back in the water.
- Goon – Comedy starring Sean William Scott about a misfit bouncer that ends up on a minor league hockey team because of his fighting ability.
- I Kissed a Vampire – A not so average teen trying to find a way to keep from transforming into a vampire.
- Intruders – Horror suspense thriller starring Clive Owen.
- The Legend of Hell’s Gate: An American Conspiracy – Action adventure starring Eric Balfour about a ruthless bounty hunter in 1870s Texas fleeing from the law with an Irish desperado and a young criminal that claims to have a valuable treasure.
- Turn Me Out, Dammit! – Comedy about a 15-year-old girl who is consumed by out-of-control hormones and fantasies about the sweetly romantic images of the boyfriend she yearns for.
