SIFF 2014 Week Two Flick Picks (May 26th – June 1st)

Seattle International Film Festival 2014 moves into week two as of today. I’ve gone through and watched trailers for most of the movies playing over the 25 day festival and picked out the ones I am most interested in checking out. I’ve broken them into four groups: Opening Weekend (May 16th – 18th), Week One (May 19th – 25th), Week Two (May 26th – June 1st) and Week Three (June 2nd – 8th) and will be posting about them at the beginning of each week.

My picks for SIFF 2014 Week Two are Beautiful Noise, Boyhood, Frank, The Grand Seduction, I Origins, Love and Lemons, Mary Is Happy, Mary Is Happy, Not My Type, Once Upon a Time in Shanghai, The Signal, Time Lapse, Too Fool a Thief, What Is Cinema?, Zip & Zap and the Marble Gang and Zombeavers. Follow the links below for ticket and venue information.

Director Bradley King and actors Matt O’Leary, Danielle Panabaker and George Finn scheduled to attend the May 31st screening and director Bradley King and producer BP Cooper scheduled to attend the June 1st screening – Actually got a chance to screen this one and it is very good. I like when you are watching a movie that you know has a twist coming, but you don’t see it until they unfold it for you and that was the case here for me. Definitely worth checking out.
