Confessions of the International Shopaholic on Friday the 13th
Here in the Seattle area there are three new movies to choose from this Friday the 13th weekend. They include Confessions of a Shopaholic, a new version of Friday the 13th, and The International.
Confessions of a Shopaholic is based on the popular book and may be a good movie, the ads, trailers and such don’t look that good. I confess that I will probably check it out down the road at some point, cause I like Isla Fisher, but it ain’t getting me to the theater this weekend.
Friday the 13th (2009) is a remake, or re-envisioning, of the successful movie franchise that spawned many a sequel. I’ve never been a big horror guy and a hockey-masked mass-murdering villain that has the same first name as me isn’t going to get me to the theater.
The International looks good. The trailer looks good. The cast looks good. But, the launch date has me worried. I have a feeling that it isn’t going to be all that good. Yet, I will be sitting at my local theater tomorrow morning taking in this action thriller.
Do any of these movies look good to you? Will you be checking any of them out this weekend?
