in New Movies This Friday

Ten new movies release on Friday, with two opening everywhere and another eight releasing on a limited basis.

Nationwide – New Movies Release on Friday, April 15th:

Movie: Rio (G)
Starring: Anne Hathaway, Jesse Eisenberg, will.i.am, Jamie Foxx, George Lopez & Tracy Morgan
Genre: Animated Family Adventure
Synopsis: A macaw that is thought to be the last of his kind lives a happily domesticated life with his human friend. They decide to travel to Rio de Janeiro after learning that a lone female macaw has been found to live there. Both birds get stolen, but they escape and end up on an adventure trying to get home.
First Thoughts: Probably fun for the family and is also available in 3D.

Movie: Scream 4 (R)
Starring: Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Emma Roberts & Hayden Panettiere
Genre: Horror Comedy
Synopsis: Sidney Prescott has become a self-help author and makes a last stop on her book tour in her home town of Woodboro. She reconnects with old friends. Yet, her return seems to have brought back Ghostface. People begin dying and horror comedy ensues.
First Thoughts: I don’t usually go in for horror flicks, but will probably check this one out at some point.
