There are three movies opening this week, none of which look to be any good.
Opening Nationwide on Friday, April 10th:
Movie: Dragonball Evolution (PG)
Starring: Justin Chatwin, James Marsters, Jamie Chung, Emmy Rossum, Eriko Tamura, Joon Park & Chow Yun-Fat
Genre: Action
Synopsis: Goku and a group of friends are in a battle to save Earth and defeat the evil Saiyans forces that have been destroying the universe. It turns out that the only way to save the planet is with the Namekian DragonBalls.
First Thoughts: This looks lame, but so does everything else this week.
Movie: Hannah Montana: The Movie (G)
Starring: Miley Cyrus, Emily Osment, Jason Earles, Mitchel Musso & Moisés Arias
Genre: Musical Family Comedy
Synopsis: A teen girl struggles to juggle her school work, friends, and a secret life as a pop-star when her popularity threatens to take over her life. Her father thinks she could use a break and takes her home to Crowley Corners, Tenn., hoping that a dose of reality will do her good.
First Thoughts: Since I’m not a tween girl, I have no interest in this. Yet, this actually looks like the best movie this weekend. How sad is that?
Movie: Observe and Report (R)
Starring: Seth Rogen, Ray Liotta, Michael Peña, Anna Faris & Dan Bakkedahl
Genre: Comedy
Synopsis: The head of mall security is serious about his job and making sure people follow the rules. A flasher starts showing up at the mall, so he takes this opportunity to show his detective skills, hoping to impress his dream girl and maybe a spot in the police academy.
First Thoughts: I haven’t seen a commercial or trailer for this that haven’t made me think it is terrible and not in a good way. This just looks really bad and it only runs 86 minutes.
For New Movie Friday there are three new movies to choose from this week. They are Dragonball Evolution, Hannah Montana: The Movie and Observe and Report. What new movie looks good to you this week?
