What New Movies Start Friday, January 21st, 2011?

Five movies start Friday. Two open everywhere and another three are in limited release.

Opening Nationwide on Friday, January 21st:

Movie: No Strings Attached (R)
Starring: Natalie Portman, Ashton Kutcher, Kevin Kline, Greta Gerwig & Cary Elwes
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Synopsis: Two long time friends decide to have sex, but they don’t want it to ruin the relationship they’ve had. So, they come up with some rules to keep things on a purely physical level in an attempt to not fight, become jealous or have future expectations. They decide they can do anything they want at anytime, as long as it doesn’t include falling in love with the other.
First Thoughts: Not expecting much, but I like both the main players.

Movie: The Way Back (PG-13)
Starring: Jim Sturgess, Colin Farrell, Ed Harris & Saoirse Ronan
Genre: The story of a group of soldiers that escaped from a Siberian gulag in 1940.
First Thoughts: Great cast. Looks good, in the same kind of way as Defiance was. Hope it turns out to be.
