What New Movies Start Friday, November 19th, 2010?

There are six movies opening this Friday. Two are opening everywhere and four more open on a limited basis.

Opening Nationwide on Friday, November 12th:

Movie: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1 (PG-13) (Read Review)
Starring: Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Helena Bonham Carter, Ralph Fiennes, Robbie Coltrane, Michael Gambon & Alan Rickman
Genre: Fantasy Adventure
Synopsis: Harry, Hermione, and Ron are on a mission to destroy the Horcuxes that give Voldemort his immortality. Dark forces threaten to tear them apart, as they have to rely on each other more than ever. Death Eaters have taken control of both the Ministry of Magic and Hogwarts, as they search for Harry.
First Thoughts: I’ve never been big into the Harry Potter franchise, but after playing catch-up the last couple of weekends and having now seen all six movies, I am looking forward to the beginning of the end. I am very interested to see if this movie will just set up Part 2 or will be a satisfying movie on its own. Also, it will be available in IMAX.

Movie: The Next Three Days (PG-13)
Starring: Russell Crowe, Elizabeth Banks, Liam Neeson, Brian Dennehy & Olivia Wilde
Genre: Action Thriller
Synopsis: A couple is living a happy life, where everything seems perfect, until the wife is convicted of a murder that she says she did not commit. He keeps fighting for her and trying to prove her innocence. After her final appeal is denied, she becomes suicidal and he vows to fix things the only way he has left, to break her out.
First Thoughts: It has an outstanding cast and looks like it might be good. I’ll definitely be checking it out at some point.
