Wasn’t able to get a post out last week, but did go see Babylon A.D. Yet, I should have gone and saw Traitor, as Babylon A.D. was all build up with no payoff. Hopefully, this week will be better.
There is three new movies being released. But, only one of them is opening everywhere. Two others are in limited release.
Opening Nationwide on Friday, September 5th:
Movie: Bangkok Dangerous (R)
Starring: Nicolas Cage, Charlie Young, Chakrit Yamnarm & Dom Hetrakul
Genre: Action Thriller
Synopsis: An assassin has gone to Thailand to complete a series of contracts. He was hired by a crime boss to execute some people. He hires a punk to help him run some errands, all the while planning to kill him after he executes his contract. Yet, he somehow ends up becoming a mentor for the youth and starts to fall for a local shop girl. When the crime boss decides it’s time to clean house, the assassin must make a choice.
First Thoughts: It looks a lot like Face/Off in its action sequences. This is the one I will be seeing on Friday, not that there is anything else new to choose from.
Movies in Limited Release:
- Everybody Wants to Be Italian – Romantic comedy involving mistaken ethnicity.
- Ping Pong Playa – Sports comedy about ping pong.
For New Movie Friday there is only one new movie to choose from this week. It is Bangkok Dangerous. What new movie looks good to you this week?
